| M Lakshmi is a about 35 years old. Lakshmi and her mother Kumari and her sister Vardhini came to old age home 6 years back. Lakshmi was married and after sometime had two children a son and a daughter. Her husband is an alcoholic and would beat her quite often. This caused her to lose her mental stability and she became deranged. She was unable to care for her two children and had to let her mother-in-law raise her son, and her daughter was adopted. Then she was brought to the ashram by her mother with her sister. She moves around laughing and talking incoherently. In the ashram everybody calls her Chanchu Lakshmi (aborigine Lakshmi). |
